How to Achieve True Happiness:
Happiness is often mistakenly associated in many different ways. Most of these associations are not related to the true source of your happiness, but only to temporary and short-term solutions.
What do I mean?
Many people associate happiness with things like money, possessions, power, achieving dreams and goals, fame, accomplishments at work, and other things that have an external expression, material root, or calculative value. Sometimes they achieve these things, but even then, the feeling of happiness and satisfaction slips away. People then enter the vicious cycle of seeking new external conquests to satisfy an inner need, to give meaning and joy.
The Foundation
True happiness comes when a person is emotionally liberated, completely calm (physically and mentally), and experiences inner peace. It turns out that happiness is an internal state, not a result of external factors.
Step 1: Discover what it means to live an emotionally free and spiritually fulfilling life. Emotional freedom allows you to see, feel, and experience life in its entirety, free from distorted perceptions. Strongly contrasting emotions, especially those in the negative spectrum, place a filter between you and reality and project a distorted picture that influences your decisions and choices. When you are free from the filters imposed by negative emotions, you experience reality clearly and vividly, understanding and mastering your choices. When you are emotionally free and at peace with yourself, happiness is your most natural state.
Being able to find satisfaction everywhere, at any time, and in everything means being truly happy, emotionally free, and spiritually fulfilled. Here are some fundamental recommendations to help you reach this state:
Stop Criticizing Others
We are all perfectly imperfect, and in our imperfection, we are perfect. If you view people as children who stumble, fall, make silly mistakes, and act foolishly while they learn, wouldn’t you be more lenient? A person is as critical of others as they are of themselves. Allow yourself to accept the imperfections of others, and you will find it easier to accept yourself.
Forgive the Pain and Offenses of the Past
Nothing poisons the present more than the pain and bitterness of the past. Forgiveness is a personal, internal act of self-liberation. It does not validate the actions of others but only frees us from the burden of offense, anger, guilt, and pain. I know this is more of a process than a one-time act, so start it now.
Take Nothing Personally
The rudeness of one, the disrespectful tone of another, an argument started by a third – none of this is personal. It has nothing to do with you. It only concerns the person exhibiting that behavior. And it comes from their emotions – fear, insecurity, a need to prove themselves. None of this defines you as a person, your worth, or your abilities.
Seek the Constructive Lesson in Every Situation
No matter how difficult a situation seems, sounds, or feels, there is always a lesson and a gift in it. If your soul wants to learn the lesson of patience, you will definitely encounter a situation where you feel irritated and impatient. If you find yourself in situations where you feel unappreciated and oppressed, your soul yearns to develop this virtue – the sense of self-worth. If you look back at past difficult situations, you can see the lesson and benefit in them, right? Develop observance and seek the lesson now. This will help you navigate life’s difficulties with much greater ease.
Find the Positive Things in Your Life
There are certainly such things. Do you have a place to live, access to food, clean water, heating? And you even have a technological device from which you are reading this book. There is certainly something to be grateful for. Start with the small things and note at least one positive thing, one thing you are grateful for, every day. When you shift your focus of attention, you will start to notice more and more good things. And you will begin to attract more of the same. Energy follows attention, so focus your attention wisely!
Set Aside Time Just for Yourself – Reading, Meditation, Reflection
I know you are busy. I know you have a thousand tasks. And that’s exactly why it’s so essential to stop and plan your most important task – to set aside time and attention for Yourself! Allocate time before or after work, or in the middle of the workday. Time just for you. Whether it’s reading, meditation, reflection, or just doing nothing – let it be your sacred time! Ensure you get enough sleep and rest. The golden rule is – at least 8 hours a day. The body needs a restart and quality recharging.
Go to Bed Early and Wake Up Early
А big secret – a result that my colleagues reached after researching among the busiest workgroups in business. When you feel a drop in energy and fatigue in the middle of the workday – close your eyes, allow yourself even a brief nap. This will restore your strength and efficiency many times more than drinking coffee to perk up.
Move and Eat Quality Food
Inner peace and calm are not isolated from the physical body. They work in sync and partnership. A healthy mind and a healthy body. Walk, exercise, move every day. Provide your body with quality energy, carefully choose your food. And this will undoubtedly help you feel even better.
